अगस्त्य उवाच । पार्वतीनंदन पुनर्द्युनद्याः परितो वद । महिमोक्तो हरौ यद्वद्देवदेवेन वै तदा
agastya uvāca | pārvatīnaṃdana punardyunadyāḥ parito vada | mahimokto harau yadvaddevadevena vai tadā
अगस्त्य म्हणाले—हे पार्वतीनंदना! दिव्य नदी (गंगा) विषयी पुन्हा सविस्तर सांग; त्या वेळी देवदेवांनी हरिसमोर जसा तिचा महिमा वर्णिला होता तसा.
