brahmalokastu lokānāṃ sarveṣāmuttamo yathā | saritāṃ sarasāṃ vāpi variṣṭhā jāhnavī tathā

जसे सर्व लोकांमध्ये ब्रह्मलोक सर्वोत्तम आहे, तसेच नद्या व सरोवरांमध्येही जाह्नवी गंगा ही सर्वश्रेष्ठ व श्रेष्ठतम आहे।
