शिवशर्मोवाच । अहो गणौ विचित्रेयं श्रुता चांद्रमसी कथा । उडुलोककथां ख्यातं विष्वगाख्यानकोविदौ
śivaśarmovāca | aho gaṇau vicitreyaṃ śrutā cāṃdramasī kathā | uḍulokakathāṃ khyātaṃ viṣvagākhyānakovidau
शिवशर्मा म्हणाले—अहो, हे दोन्ही गणो! ही चांद्रमसी कथा मी अद्भुत ऐकली. उडुलोकाची प्रसिद्ध कथा सांगण्यात तुम्ही विश्वविख्यात आख्यानकोविद आहात.
