दृष्ट्वा मृदुलतां तस्य द्वैरूप्येपि स नारदः । मुमुदे सुतरां संतः प्रश्रयग्राह्यमानसाः
dṛṣṭvā mṛdulatāṃ tasya dvairūpyepi sa nāradaḥ | mumude sutarāṃ saṃtaḥ praśrayagrāhyamānasāḥ
द्वैरूप्य असूनही त्याची मृदुता पाहून नारद अत्यंत आनंदित झाले; कारण सज्जनांची मने विनय व आदरयुक्त आचरणानेच जिंकली जातात.
