श्रियावृत्तौ महादेव त्वया चोत्पादितौ पुरा । सुरासुरसुदुर्जेयौ दानवौ मधुकैटभौ
śriyāvṛttau mahādeva tvayā cotpāditau purā | surāsurasudurjeyau dānavau madhukaiṭabhau
हे महादेव! श्रीच्या प्रवाह-परिवर्तनाच्या प्रसंगी तू पूर्वी त्यांना उत्पन्न केलेस—मधु व कैटभ हे दानव, जे देव व असुर दोघांनाही अत्यंत दुर्जेय होते।
