Narrator (Purāṇic voice)
Tirtha: Kalākumbha/Kumbheśvara-tīrtha (consecrated ford)
Type: ghat
Scene: Śiva (Hara) arrives in procession—devas in front, great sages around—reaching the river-ford; he grants a boon and releases a radiant portion of his power into the tīrtha, causing the place to glow with sacred brilliance.
A tīrtha’s greatness is not symbolic alone—Purāṇic theology treats it as empowered by divine presence and grace (an infused kalā).
The Revā-associated tīrtha of this chapter’s narrative (Kapitīrtha/Hanūmanteśvara context), elevated by Śiva’s boon and potency.
No direct ritual command; it describes divine consecration as the source of the tīrtha’s efficacy.
