मार्कण्डेय उवाच । साधु प्रश्नो महाराज पृष्टो यो वै त्वयोत्तमः । पुराणे विस्तरो ह्यस्य न शक्यो हि मयाधुना
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | sādhu praśno mahārāja pṛṣṭo yo vai tvayottamaḥ | purāṇe vistaro hyasya na śakyo hi mayādhunā
मार्कंडेय म्हणाले—हे महाराज, तू विचारलेला हा उत्तम प्रश्न खरोखरच प्रशंसनीय आहे. याचा सविस्तर विस्तार पुराणांत आहे; मी आत्ता पूर्ण विस्ताराने सांगू शकत नाही।
