ब्रह्मघ्नी याहि पापिष्ठे परित्यक्ता गृहाद्व्रज
brahmaghnī yāhi pāpiṣṭhe parityaktā gṛhādvraja
'अगं ब्रह्महत्या करणाऱ्या पापिणी! येथून चालती हो. तुझा त्याग केला आहे, या घरातून निघून जा.'
Narrative voices of the condemners (reported by Mārkaṇḍeya)
Tirtha: Alikā-tīrtha
Type: kshetra
Listener: a king (nṛpa)
Scene: A forceful banishment: an elder points outward from the house; Alikā stands at the threshold with a small bundle, face pale, the doorway behind her closing—symbolizing separation from home and dharma.
Mahāpātakas (great sins) are treated with utmost seriousness; the tradition pushes the wrongdoer toward separation from harm and toward expiation.
Indirectly, the Alikā Tīrtha narrative is being set up—sins and expulsion lead the character toward a purifying tīrtha.
No direct ritual; it expresses expulsion and moral denunciation, preluding later prāyaścitta through tīrtha.
