सर्वसत्त्वोपकाराय बृहते पुण्यलक्षणा । रेवानदी तु विख्याता न मृता तेन नर्मदा
sarvasattvopakārāya bṛhate puṇyalakṣaṇā | revānadī tu vikhyātā na mṛtā tena narmadā
सर्व सत्त्वांच्या उपकारासाठी विशाल व पुण्यलक्षणा ही नदी ‘रेवा’ म्हणून विख्यात आहे. ती ‘मृत नाही’—म्हणूनच तिचे नाव नर्मदा आहे.
