श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । ततस्त्वेकार्णवे तस्मिन्मुमूर्षुरहमातुरः । काकूच्छ्वासस्तरंस्तोयं बाहुभ्यां नृपसत्तम
śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca | tatastvekārṇave tasminmumūrṣurahamāturaḥ | kākūcchvāsastaraṃstoyaṃ bāhubhyāṃ nṛpasattama
श्री मार्कण्डेय म्हणाले—हे नृपसत्तमा, त्या एकमेव महासागरात मी व्याकुळ व मरणासन्न होतो; कातर होऊन धापा टाकीत, विनवणी करीत, बाहूंनी पोहत पाण्यावर तरंगत होतो.
