मार्कण्डेय उवाच । इदमाश्चर्यभूतं हि गौर्या पृष्टस्त्रियम्बकः । तत्तेऽहं सम्प्रवक्ष्यामि पृच्छते निपुणाय वै
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | idamāścaryabhūtaṃ hi gauryā pṛṣṭastriyambakaḥ | tatte'haṃ sampravakṣyāmi pṛcchate nipuṇāya vai
मार्कण्डेय म्हणाला—हा अद्भुत विषय पूर्वी गौरीने त्र्यम्बक (शिव) यांना विचारला होता. तू निपुणतेने विचारतोस, म्हणून मी तुला तो सविस्तर सांगतो.
