विष्णुरुवाच । पूज्या यत्पुत्रतां यान्ति न कदाचिच्छ्रुतं मया । शुभे ददामि पुत्रांस्ते देवतुल्यपराक्रमान् । रूपवन्तो गुणोपेतान्यज्विनश्च बहुश्रुतान्
viṣṇuruvāca | pūjyā yatputratāṃ yānti na kadācicchrutaṃ mayā | śubhe dadāmi putrāṃste devatulyaparākramān | rūpavanto guṇopetānyajvinaśca bahuśrutān
विष्णु म्हणाले—हे पूज्ये, पूजनीय देव पुत्रत्वास येतात असे मी कधी ऐकले नाही. तरी हे शुभे, मी तुला देवतुल्य पराक्रमी, रूपवान, गुणसंपन्न, यज्ञनिष्ठ व बहुश्रुत असे पुत्र देतो.
