The Devas Take Refuge in Śiva; Nārada Is Sent
Lord Shiva (inferred, giving an assured vow in the Yuddhakhaṇḍa narrative)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Mantra: satyam satyam na saṃśayaḥ
Role: liberating
It highlights satya (truthfulness) and unwavering sankalpa (sacred resolve) as Shaiva virtues—Shiva’s word itself becomes a guarantee, teaching devotees steadiness and integrity on the path to grace.
In Saguna worship, Shiva is approached as the compassionate Lord who acts within the world; this verse reflects that accessible, vow-keeping Shiva whose protection and fulfillment of dharma devotees trust through Linga-bhakti.
Adopt a pure sankalpa before worship—offer water and bilva to the Linga while mentally reaffirming satya, and repeat a steady japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” to cultivate resolve and truth.
