तारकवाक्य-शक्रविष्णुवीरभद्रयुद्धवर्णनम् — Account of Tāraka’s declarations and the battle involving Śakra (Indra), Viṣṇu, and Vīrabhadra
त्रैलोक्यं निर्जितं सर्वमसुरेण दुरात्मना । इदानीं तव सान्निध्यात्पुनर्युद्धं कृतं च तैः
trailokyaṃ nirjitaṃ sarvamasureṇa durātmanā | idānīṃ tava sānnidhyātpunaryuddhaṃ kṛtaṃ ca taiḥ
दुरात्मा असुराने सर्व त्रैलोक्य जिंकले आहे; पण आता तुझ्या सान्निध्याच्या प्रभावाने त्यांनी पुन्हा युद्ध आरंभ केले आहे।
The Devas (gods), addressing Lord Shiva (in the Kumārakhaṇḍa context, reporting the crisis and seeking divine intervention)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
Role: nurturing
It highlights sānnidhya—Shiva’s living presence—as a transforming power: when Pati (the Lord) is near, fear and defeat give way to renewed dharmic strength, showing grace as the source of inner courage.
The verse emphasizes Shiva’s tangible nearness; Linga worship is precisely a disciplined way to invoke Saguna Shiva’s presence, through which devotees regain steadiness and the capacity to confront adharma.
Cultivate Shiva-sānnidhya through daily Panchakshara japa (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and a brief dhyāna on Shiva as protector—so the mind ‘re-enters the battle’ against inner asuric tendencies.
