Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
It shows Śiva as Pati—the sole Lord and protector—yet moved by pure bhakti; His silence and choked voice indicate that divine love can transcend speech and reveal grace beyond words.
Though Śiva is the all-pervading absolute, this verse highlights His saguna tenderness with Girijā; in Liṅga-worship, devotees approach that same compassionate Lord whose presence is felt even when no words are spoken.
Practice silent japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and dhyāna on Śiva with Pārvatī; let the mind rest in stillness, as devotion matures from spoken prayer into inward remembrance.
