viṣṇustvaṃ jagatāṃ vyāpī nānyo jātosi śāṃbhava | yathā na keṣāṃ vyāpyaṃ ca tatsarvaṃ vyāpakaṃ nabhaḥ
Sanatkumāra
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
The verse teaches that Śiva is the supreme all-pervading Pati, and that “Viṣṇu” here signifies the pervading cosmic principle—pointing to the oneness of divine sovereignty rather than sectarian difference.
Though Śiva is formless and all-pervading like the sky, devotees worship Him in Saguna form—especially the Liṅga—as a concentrated support for devotion and realization of the same all-pervading reality.
Meditate on Śiva as vyāpaka (all-pervading) while japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” letting the mind expand like the sky; optionally support practice with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as Shaiva aids.
