The verse highlights stuti (praise) and remembrance of Śiva and his divine retinue as a bhakti-based response to intense events, implying that devotion steadies the mind and aligns the devotee with Śiva’s grace even amid conflict.
By praising Śiva and Gaṇeśa in a concrete narrative setting, the text emphasizes Saguna-upāsanā—devotion to Śiva as the personal Lord who is praised, invoked, and approached through names, forms, and stotras, which in practice includes Liṅga worship as Śiva’s accessible sacred form.
A practical takeaway is nāma-japa and stotra-pāṭha—repeating Śiva’s names (such as the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and offering verbal praise—especially during stressful or turbulent moments.
