Sukta 9.86
अञ्जते व्यञ्जते समञ्जते क्रतुं रिहन्ति मधुनाभ्यञ्जते । सिन्धोरुच्छ्वासे पतयन्तमुक्षणं हिरण्यपावाः पशुमासु गृभ्णते ॥
añjáte vyàñjate sám añjate krátum rihanti mádhunā́bhyàñjate | síndhor ucchvā́se patáyantam ukṣáṇaṃ hiraṇyapāvā́ḥ paśúm ā́su gṛbhṇate ||
ते अभ्यञ्जते—लेपन करतात, व्यञ्जते—पसरवतात, समञ्जते—एकत्र अभिषेक करतात; मधुना ते त्याचा क्रतु (संकल्प/शक्ती) रिहन्ति—मधाने चाखतात, आणि मधुर रसाने त्यास अभ्यञ्जते—स्निग्ध करतात. सिन्धोः उच्छ्वासे—नदीच्या उच्छ्वासात—पतयन्तम् उक्षणम् (उडणारा वृषभ) यास हिरण्यपावाः (सुवर्ण-शोधक) गृभ्णते—पकडून घेतात, पशुमासु—जीवशक्ती म्हणून—आपल्या हातांत धारण करतात.
