Sukta 8.48
अग्निं न मा मथितं सं दिदीपः प्र चक्षय कृणुहि वस्यसो नः । अथा हि ते मद आ सोम मन्ये रेवाँ इव प्र चरा पुष्टिमच्छ ॥
agníṃ ná mā mathitáṃ sáṃ didīpaḥ | prá cakṣaya kṛṇuhí vásyaso naḥ | áthā hí te máda ā́ soma mányé revā́ṃ-iva prá carā puṣṭím áccha ||
मंथनाने प्रज्वलित झालेल्या अग्नीप्रमाणे माझ्या अंतरी दीप्त हो. आम्हांस अधिक स्पष्ट दृष्टी व श्रेष्ठ अवस्था घडव. कारण, हे सोम, तुझ्या मदात मी तुला समृद्ध शक्तीसारखा पुढे सरकत—पुष्टी व परिपूर्णतेकडे अग्रसर—अनुभवतो.
