Sukta 7.9
अबोधि जार उषसामुपस्थाद्धोता मन्द्रः कवितमः पावकः । दधाति केतुमुभयस्य जन्तोर्हव्या देवेषु द्रविणं सुकृत्सु ॥
abó̄dhi jārá uṣásām upásthād hótā mandráḥ kavítamaḥ pāvakáḥ | dádhāti ketúm ubháyasya jántor havyā́ devéṣu dráviṇaṃ sukṛ́tsu ||
तो जागा झाला—उषांच्या कुशीतून जार (प्रियतम): होता, मन्द्र (आनंददायक), कवितम (अतिशय ऋषि-स्वरूप), पावक (शुद्धिकारक)। तो द्विविध जन्तू (अंतर व बाह्य) यांसाठी केतु (चिन्ह/प्रकाश) व विवेक स्थापतो; देवांमध्ये हव्या (आहुती) आणि सुकृतांमध्ये द्रविण (संपदा) धारण करतो.
