Sukta 7.89
यत्किं चेदं वरुण दैव्ये जनेऽभिद्रोहं मनुष्याश्चरामसि । अचित्ती यत्तव धर्मा युयोपिम मा नस्तस्मादेनसो देव रीरिषः ॥
yát kiṃ cedáṃ varuṇa daívyé jáne ’bhí-drohaṃ manuṣyā́ś cárāmasi | ácittī yát táva dhármā yuyópim mā́ nas tásmād énaso deva rīriṣaḥ ||
हे वरुणा! या दैवी जनामध्ये आम्ही मनुष्य जे काही अभिद्रोह (द्रोह/विश्वासघात) आचरतो—जर अचिति (अज्ञान/अविवेक) मुळे तुझ्या धर्माचा (ऋत-नियमाचा) भंग झाला असेल—तर हे देवा, त्या पापामुळे आम्हांला इजा करू नकोस; ते आमच्यापासून सैल करून दूर कर.
