उद्वां चक्षुर्वरुण सुप्रतीकं देवयोरेति सूर्यस्ततन्वान् । अभि यो विश्वा भुवनानि चष्टे स मन्युं मर्त्येष्वा चिकेत ॥
Transliteration
úd vāṃ cákṣur varuṇa suprátīkaṃ deváyor eti sū́ryas tatanvā́n | abhí yó víśvā bhúvanāni cáṣṭe sá manyúṃ mártyeṣv ā́ ciket ||
Translation
हे वरुणा! तुझे चक्षु—सुप्रतीक सूर्य—उदित होते; देवयोर्—दोन्ही देवांसाठी—गतीमान होऊन आपली प्रभा पसरविते. जो सर्व भुवनांना पाहतो, तोच मर्त्यांमध्ये उठणारा मन्यु—आवेग व कलुषित भाव—ओळखतो।
