Sukta 7.20
उग्रो जज्ञे वीर्याय स्वधावाञ्चक्रिरपो नर्यो यत्करिष्यन् । जग्मिर्युवा नृषदनमवोभिस्त्राता न इन्द्र एनसो महश्चित् ॥
ugró jajñe vīryā̀ya svadhā́vāñ cakrír ápo naryó yát kariṣyán | jagmír yúvā nṛṣádanaṃ ávobhis trātā́ na índra énasō máhaś cit ||
उग्र (प्रचंड) देव वीर्यासाठी जन्मला आहे; स्वधावान (स्व-नियंत्रित) होऊन त्याने महती आपः (प्रबळ प्रवाह) सिद्ध केले—तो करणार असलेल्या मानुष कर्मासाठी. युवा, नृषदन (वीरांचे आसन) येथे आपल्या अवोभिः (सहाय्यां) सहित आला आहे; इंद्र आमचा त्राता—महान् एनस् (पाप/दोष) पासूनही.
