Sukta 5.87
स चक्रमे महतो निरुरुक्रमः समानस्मात्सदस एवयामरुत् । यदायुक्त त्मना स्वादधि ष्णुभिर्विष्पर्धसो विमहसो जिगाति शेवृधो नृभिः ॥
sá cakrame maható nír uru-krámaḥ samānásmā́t sádasa evayā́marut | yad ā́yukta tmanā́ svā́d ádhi ṣṇúbhir ví-spardhaso ví-mahaso jigā́ti śe-vṛ́dho nṛ́bhiḥ ||
तो महत्त्वातून बाहेर पडून—विस्तीर्ण गती असलेला—त्याच समान सभासदनातून पुढे चालला आहे, हे मरुतांनो. जेव्हा त्याने आपल्या स्वभाव-बलाने (शक्ती) युक्त केल्या, तेव्हा उफाळत्या प्रवाहांद्वारे तो प्रतिस्पर्धी बळांना जिंकतो; तो विशाल अडथळे ओलांडतो—तो, जो मनुष्यांसाठी कल्याण वाढवितो.
