आ यद्वां सूर्या रथं तिष्ठद्रघुष्यदं सदा । परि वामरुषा वयो घृणा वरन्त आतपः ॥
Transliteration
ā́ yád vāṃ sū́ryā ráthaṃ tíṣṭhad raghu-syádaṃ sádā | pári vām aruṣā́ váyo ghṛṇā́ váranta ātápaḥ ||
Translation
सूर्या जेव्हा तुमच्या रथावर आरूढ होते—जो रथ सदा वेगाने धावणारा आहे—तेव्हा तुमच्या भोवती प्राणशक्तीचे अरुण अश्व परिक्रमा करतात; आणि घृणा (दीप्ती) व आतप (ताप) तुम्हाला वेढून घेतात—तुमच्या आगमनासोबत जागृत होणाऱ्या तेजाचे हे मंगलचिन्ह आहे.
