Sukta 5.30
स्थिरं मनश्चकृषे जात इन्द्र वेषीदेको युधये भूयसश्चित् । अश्मानं चिच्छवसा दिद्युतो वि विदो गवामूर्वमुस्रियाणाम् ॥
sthiráṁ mánaś cakṛṣe jātá índra véṣīd éko yudháye bhū́yasaś cit | áśmānaṁ cit śávasā didyutó ví vidó gávām ū́rvam usríyāṇām ||
हे इंद्रा, जन्मापासूनच तू आपले मन स्थिर केलेस; एकटाच तू अनेकांशीही युद्ध करण्यास उत्सुक असतोस. विद्युत्सदृश चमकणाऱ्या तुझ्या शवसाने तू दगडही फोडलास आणि उस्रिया—दीप्तिमान गायी (किरण/ज्ञानकिरण) यांचा विस्तीर्ण आवार (ऊर्व) तू शोधून काढलास.
