नव यदस्य नवतिं च भोगान्त्साकं वज्रेण मघवा विवृश्चत् । अर्चन्तीन्द्रं मरुतः सधस्थे त्रैष्टुभेन वचसा बाधत द्याम् ॥

nava yad asya navatiṃ ca bhogānt sākam vajreṇa maghavā vivṛścat | arcantīndraṃ marutaḥ sadhaste traiṣṭubhena vacasā bādhata dyām ||

दानशील मघवा (इंद्र) याने वज्राने एकत्रच शत्रूचे नऊ-आणि-नव्वद भोग छेदून पाडले, तेव्हा मरुत आपल्या समान आसनात (सधस्थे) इंद्राचे स्तवन करू लागले. त्रैष्टुभ वाणीने त्यांनी द्यौ (आकाश) भेदून उघडले—उच्च प्रकाशासाठी जागा करून.
