Sukta 5.28
समिद्धो अग्निर्दिवि शोचिरश्रेत्प्रत्यङ्ङुषसमुर्विया वि भाति । एति प्राची विश्ववारा नमोभिर्देवाँ ईळाना हविषा घृताची ॥
sámiddho agnír diví śócir aśret pratyáṅ uṣásam urviyā́ ví bhāti | éti prā́cī viśvávārā námo-bhir devā́n īḷānā havíṣā ghṛtā́cī ||
समिद्ध अग्नीची ज्योत दिवीत तीव्रतेने उसळी मारते; उषसेकडे तोंड करून ती दूरवर व्यापकपणे उजळते. पूर्वेकडून विश्ववारा उषा येते; नमस्कारांनी देवांना आवाहन करीत, हविसह—घृताची (घृतधारांतून प्रवाही)—त्यांची स्तुती करते.
