कथा महे पुष्टिम्भराय पूष्णे कद्रुद्राय सुमखाय हविर्दे । कद्विष्णव उरुगायाय रेतो ब्रवः कदग्ने शरवे बृहत्यै ॥
kathā́ mahé puṣṭim-bharā́ya pūṣṇé kád rudrā́ya su-mákhāya havir-dé | kád víṣṇava urú-gāyāya réto brávaḥ kád agne śárave bṛhatyái ||
पुष्टी धारण करणाऱ्या महान् पूषणाला तू कसा संबोधशील, आणि सुमख (सुयज्ञ) रुद्राला—हविर्दे (हवि देणाऱ्याला)—काय सांगशील? उरुगाय (विस्तीर्ण पावलांचा) विष्णूला तू कोणते बीज-वचन बोलेलास? आणि हे अग्ने, दूरवर झेपावणाऱ्या शर (बाण)ाला, त्या बृहती (विस्तीर्ण)ला तू काय म्हणशील?
