को देवानामवो अद्या वृणीते क आदित्याँ अदितिं ज्योतिरीट्टे । कस्याश्विनाविन्द्रो अग्निः सुतस्यांशोः पिबन्ति मनसाविवेनम् ॥
kó devā́nām ávo adyā́ vṛṇīte ká ādityā́n áditiṃ jyótiḥ īṭṭe | kásyāśvínāv índro agníḥ sutásyāṃśóḥ pibanti mánasā́vivénam ||
आज कोण देवांच्या अव (रक्षण/आश्रय) याची निवड करतो? कोण आदित्यांना—अदितीला—ज्योतीला उपासतो? कोणासाठी अश्विनौ, इंद्र आणि अग्नी, पिळलेल्या सोमाचा अंश, अविभक्त (अविवेनम्) मनाने, पितात?
