Sukta 4.18
गृष्टिः ससूव स्थविरं तवागामनाधृष्यं वृषभं तुम्रमिन्द्रम् । अरीळ्हं वत्सं चरथाय माता स्वयं गातुं तन्व इच्छमानम् ॥
gṛṣṭíḥ sasū́va stháviraṃ tavāgā́m anādhṛ́ṣyaṃ vṛṣabháṃ tumrám índram | arī́ḷhaṃ vatsáṃ cárathāya mātā́ svayáṃ gātúṃ tanvá icchámānam ||
दृढशक्ती गायीने तुझ्यासाठी स्थिर, सदैव पुढे जाणारा इंद्र जन्मास घातला—अधृष्य, वृषभ, पराक्रमात तूम्र. माता भ्रमणासाठी अरीळ्ह (अक्षत) वत्साला प्रसवली; तो स्वतःच्या तनु (देह)साठी गमन-पथ इच्छित होता.
