Sukta 4.1
ते मन्वत प्रथमं नाम धेनोस्त्रिः सप्त मातुः परमाणि विन्दन् । तज्जानतीरभ्यनूषत व्रा आविर्भुवदरुणीर्यशसा गोः ॥
té manvata prathamáṃ nā́ma dhenós tríḥ saptá mā́tuḥ paramā́ṇi vindan | táj jānatī́r abhy ànūṣata vrā́ āvír bhuvad aruṇī́r yaśásā góḥ ||
त्यांनी पोषण करणाऱ्या गायीचे प्रथम नाव ओळखले; आणि मातृचे परम प्रमाण—तीन वेळा सात—असे शोधून काढले. ते जाणून शक्तींनी त्याचे स्तवन केले; गायीच्या अरुण, प्रकाशमय किरणांचा यशासह आविष्कार झाला.
