Sukta 4.1

स जायत प्रथमः पस्त्यासु महो बुध्ने रजसो अस्य योनौ । अपादशीर्षा गुहमानो अन्तायोयुवानो वृषभस्य नीळे ॥

Transliteration

sa jā́yata prathamáḥ pastyā̀su mahó budhné rájasaḥ asyá yónau | apā́d aśī́rṣā guhá māno antā́ ā́yoyúvāno vṛṣabhásya nīḷé ||

Translation

तो प्रथम निवासस्थानी जन्मतो—मध्यलोकाच्या विशाल पायाभरणीत, या प्रकाशमय लोकाच्या गर्भात. पाय नसलेला, शिर नसलेला, तो अंतःस्थ गुह्यात लपून राहतो; वृषभ (महाशक्ती) यांच्या स्थिर नीळात तो सदैव नवयुवकासारखा वाढतो.
