महि महे दिवे अर्चा पृथिव्यै कामो म इच्छञ्चरति प्रजानन् । ययोर्ह स्तोमे विदथेषु देवाः सपर्यवो मादयन्ते सचायोः ॥
máhi mahé divé arcā pṛthivyái kā́mo ma icchán cárati prajā́nann | yáyor ha stóme vidáthēṣu devā́ḥ saparyávo mā́dayante sacā́yoḥ ||
महान् द्यौ (स्वर्ग) आणि पृथिवी यांस विशाल स्तुती गा. माझ्यात लक्ष्य जाणून चालणारी कामना (इच्छा) संचारते. कारण त्यांच्या स्तोमात, ‘विदथ’ (ऋत-व्यवस्थेच्या सभा)मध्ये, सेवा करणारे देव—कार्य सिद्ध करणारे—त्या दोघांबरोबर (द्यौ-पृथिवी) सख्यभावाने एकत्र आनंदित होतात.
