Sukta 3.32
अहन्नहिं परिशयानमर्ण ओजायमानं तुविजात तव्यान् । न ते महित्वमनु भूदध द्यौर्यदन्यया स्फिग्या क्षामवस्थाः ॥
ahán ahíṃ pari-śáyānam árṇa ojāyámānaṃ tuvi-jāta távyān | ná te mahitvám ánu bhūd ádha dyáur yád anyáyā sphigyā́ kṣā́m ávasthāḥ ||
हे तुविजात (महाबलाने जन्मलेला), अधिकच तव्य (अतिप्रबळ) इंद्रा! जलप्रवाहाला वेढून पडलेल्या, बळात वाढणाऱ्या त्या अहि (वृत्र-सर्प) ला तू ठार केलेस. तेव्हा तुझ्या महिमेचा मागोवा द्यौ (स्वर्ग) सुद्धा घेऊ शकला नाही—जेव्हा तू दुसऱ्या आधाराने पृथ्वीला तिच्या स्थानी स्थिर केलेस.
