Sukta 3.23
इळामग्ने पुरुदंसं सनिं गोः शश्वत्तमं हवमानाय साध । स्यान्नः सूनुस्तनयो विजावाग्ने सा ते सुमतिर्भूत्वस्मे ॥
iḷā́m agne puru-daṃsáṃ saníṃ góḥ śaśvat-tamáṃ havamānāya sādha | syān naḥ sūnús tanáyo vijā́vāgne sā́ te su-matír bhūtv asmè ||
हे अग्ने, तुला हाक मारणाऱ्यासाठी इळेला सिद्ध कर—बहु-प्रज्ञेने दीप्त, अनेक कर्मांनी समृद्ध—आणि गोः (किरणे/गायी) यांचे शाश्वत लाभ दे। आमच्यासाठी पुत्र, तनय होवो—जन्मांत व वाढीत विजयी। तीच तुझी सुमती आमच्यावर होवो.
