Sukta 2.23
तेजिष्ठया तपनी रक्षसस्तप ये त्वा निदे दधिरे दृष्टवीर्यम् । आविस्तत्कृष्व यदसत्त उक्थ्यं बृहस्पते वि परिरापो अर्दय ॥
téjiṣṭhayā tapanī́ rakṣásaḥ tapa yé tvā nidé dadhiré dṛṣṭávīryam | āvís tát kṛṣva yád ásat te ukthyàm bṛ́haspate ví parirā́po ardaya ||
हे बृहस्पते! तुझ्या अत्यंत तीक्ष्ण, दाहक तपनी तेजाने त्या राक्षसी अंधकार-शक्तींना दग्ध कर, ज्यांनी तुझे प्रकट वीर्य जाणूनही तुला निंदेत धरले. आमच्यात जे अजून असत्-सारखे अप्रकट व उक्थ्य (स्तुत्य) होते—ते प्रकट कर; आणि सर्व बाजूंनी वेढून हल्ला करणाऱ्या आघातांना चिरडून दूर हाकल.
