Sukta 10.79
प्र मातुः प्रतरं गुह्यमिच्छन्कुमारो न वीरुधः सर्पदुर्वीः । ससं न पक्वमविदच्छुचन्तं रिरिह्वांसं रिप उपस्थे अन्तः ॥
prá mātuḥ prá-taraṁ gúhyam icchán kumāró na vīrúdhaḥ sárpad urvī́ḥ | sasáṁ na pákvam ávidac chucántaṁ ririhvā́ṃsaṁ ripá upásthe ántaḥ ||
माता (प्रकृती) पेक्षाही अधिक गूढ गोष्ट शोधीत तो कुमार, वेलीसारखा विस्तीर्ण प्रदेशांवर सरकत गेला. त्याने जणू पिकलेला—दीप्तिमान—कांड (दांडा) शोधला; जो शत्रूच्या उपस्थ (अंक) मध्ये आतून चाटत होता.
