Sukta 1.92
एता उ त्या उषसः केतुमक्रत पूर्वे अर्धे रजसो भानुमञ्जते । निष्कृण्वाना आयुधानीव धृष्णवः प्रति गावोऽरुषीर्यन्ति मातरः ॥
etā u tyā uṣásaḥ ketúm akrata pū́rve árdhe rájasaḥ bhā́num añjate | niṣkṛṇvānā ā́yudhānīva dhṛ́ṣṇavaḥ práti gā́vo 'ruṣīr yanti mā́taraḥ ||
या उषसः—उषा-शक्ती—जागरणाचा केतु उभारतात; रजसाच्या पूर्वार्धात त्या भानु—दीप्ती—चे अभ्यंजन करतात. धृष्ट योद्धे आयुधे धारण करावीत तसे ते प्रकट करीत, अरुण मातृ-गाः—आई-गायींसारख्या किरणा—आमच्याकडे पुढे सरकतात.
