Sukta 1.57
अस्मै भीमाय नमसा समध्वर उषो न शुभ्र आ भरा पनीयसे । यस्य धाम श्रवसे नामेन्द्रियं ज्योतिरकारि हरितो नायसे ॥
asmái bhīmā́ya námasā sáma adhvaré uṣó ná śubhrá ā́ bharā panīyáse | yásya dhā́ma śrávase nā́mendriyáṃ jyótir akārí haríto nā́yase ||
या भीम (भयप्रद-पराक्रमी) सत्तेसाठी यज्ञात नमस्कारासह अर्पण करा; उषेसारखे उज्ज्वल, पनीय (प्रिय/पूज्य) हविः आणा. ज्याचे धाम श्रवस् (यश) मिळविण्यासाठी आहे; ज्याचे नाव ऐन्द्रिय (अधिपत्य-शक्ती) आहे; अग्रसरतेसाठी (नयासाठी) एक ज्योती निर्माण झाली आहे—जणू प्रवासासाठी हरित (हिरवट) अश्व जुंपलेले असावेत.
