Sukta 1.54
अर्चा शक्राय शाकिने शचीवते शृण्वन्तमिन्द्रं महयन्नभि ष्टुहि । यो धृष्णुना शवसा रोदसी उभे वृषा वृषत्वा वृषभो न्यृञ्जते ॥
árcā śakráya śākíne śácīvate śṛṇvántam índraṃ maháyann abhí stuhi | yó dhṛ́ṣṇunā śávasa ródasī ubhé vṛ́ṣā vṛṣatvā́ vṛ́ṣabho ní ṛñjate ||
शक्र, समर्थ, शचीवान् (शची-सम्पन्न) इंद्रासाठी स्तुती गा; ऐकणाऱ्या इंद्राचे महिमान करून त्याच्यासमोर स्तवन कर. तो धृष्ट (निर्भय) बळाने द्यावा व पृथ्वी—दोन्ही—हलवितो; वृषत्व (वृष-स्वभाव) धारण करून वृषभ होऊन, बलवान वृषभाप्रमाणे जगांना वश करून त्यांना युग्मित करतो.
