शुष्मिन्तमो हि ते मदो द्युम्निन्तम उत क्रतुः । वृत्रघ्ना वरिवोविदा मंसीष्ठा अश्वसातमः ॥
śuṣmíntamo hí te mádo dyumníntama utá krátūḥ | vṛtrá-ghnā varivo-vidā maṃsī́ṣṭhā áśva-sā́tamaḥ ||
कारण तुझा मद (उन्माद) सर्वाधिक शुष्मयुक्त आहे, आणि तुझा क्रतु (संकल्पशक्ती) सर्वाधिक द्युम्नयुक्त आहे. हे वृत्रघ्ना, हे वरिवोविदा (विस्तृत पथ जाणणाऱ्या), आमच्यात श्रेष्ठ मनीषी व अश्वसातम—ऊर्जांचा सर्वोत्तम विजेता—हो; जेणेकरून योग्य ती व्यापकता सापडो.
