Transliteration
índraḥ sahasra-dā́vnāṃ váruṇaḥ śáṃsyānām | kratúr bhavaty ukthyàḥ ||
Translation
इंद्र हा सहस्रदात्यांमध्ये अग्रगण्य; वरुण हा प्रेरित वाणी (शंस्या)मध्ये स्तुत्य आहे. क्रतु (संकल्प–प्रज्ञा) उक्थ्य—स्तोत्र व आवाहन—यास योग्य ठरतो.
