Sukta 1.136
अयं मित्राय वरुणाय शंतमः सोमो भूत्ववपानेष्वाभगो देवो देवेष्वाभगः । तं देवासो जुषेरत विश्वे अद्य सजोषसः । तथा राजाना करथो यदीमह ऋतावाना यदीमहे ॥
ayám mitrā́ya váruṇāya śáṃtamaḥ sómo bhūtv avapānéṣv ā́bhago devó devéṣv ā́bhagaḥ | táṃ devā́so juṣerata víśve adyá sajóṣasaḥ | tathā́ rājānā karatho yád ī́mahe ṛ́tāvānā yád ī́mahe ||
हा सोम—मित्र व वरुण यांच्यासाठी परम शांतिदायक होऊन—अर्पित पानांमध्ये कल्याणाचा भाग, देवांमध्ये देव-भाग असा ठरतो. आज सर्व देव एकचित्ताने, एकसुराने, याचा स्वीकार व आस्वाद करो. आणि हे दोन राजन् (मित्र-वरुण), ऋतवान् होऊन, आम्ही जे मागतो—ते सिद्ध करा; आम्ही जे मागतो—ते सिद्ध करा.
