एवमप्यन्तिद्रिस्तुयदानैवप्रबुध्यत ।।।।शापस्यवशमापन्नस्ततःक्रुद्धानिशाचराः ।

evam apy antidris tu yadā naiva prabudhyata |

śāpasyavaśam āpannas tataḥ kruddhā niśācarāḥ ||

एवढे करूनही तो झोपलेलाच जागेना—शापाच्या अधीन पडलेला—म्हणून ते निशाचर राक्षस क्रोधाने संतप्त झाले॥
