निष्पतन्तिततःसैन्याहृष्टारावणचोदिताः ।समयेपूर्यमाणस्यवेगाइवमहोदधेः ।।।।

niṣpatanti tataḥ sainyā hṛṣṭā rāvaṇacoditāḥ |

samaye pūryamāṇasya vegā iva mahodadheḥ ||

मग रावणाच्या प्रेरणेने हर्षित सैन्ये धावून निघाली—जशी प्रलयकाळी महान समुद्राची भरती येताना उफाळणारी वेगवान लाट.
