सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
जिघांसन्तीं ततस्तां तु ज्वलदग्निशिरोरुहाम्।।।।सव्यमुष्टिप्रहारेण पराजित्य सुभैरवाम्।प्रदोषकाले प्रविशं भीतयाऽहं तयोदितः।।।।
jighāṃsantīṃ tatas tāṃ tu jvalad-agni-śiroruhām |
savya-muṣṭi-prahāreṇa parājitya su-bhairavām |
pradoṣa-kāle praviśaṃ bhītayāhaṃ tayoditaḥ ||
तेव्हा अग्नीसारखे ज्वलंत केस असलेली ती अत्यंत भयानक स्त्री मला मारण्यासाठी धावून आली। मी डाव्या मुष्टीच्या प्रहाराने तिला पराजित केले आणि तिच्या भयप्रदर्शनास न जुमानता संध्याकाळी नगरात प्रवेश केला।
