सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
तां हत्वा पुनरेवाहं कृत्यमात्ययिकं स्मरन्।गत्वा चाह महध्वानं पश्यामि नगमण्डितम्।।।।दक्षिणं तीरमुदधेर्लङ्का यत्र च सा पुरी।
tāṃ hatvā punar evāhaṃ kṛtyam ātyayikaṃ smaran | gatvā cāha mahādhvānaṃ paśyāmi nagamaṇḍitam ||
dakṣiṇaṃ tīram udadher laṅkā yatra ca sā purī |
तिला वध करून मी पुन्हा अत्यावश्यक कर्तव्याचे स्मरण करीत, त्या महान् मार्गाने पुढे गेलो आणि पर्वतांनी शोभित समुद्राचा दक्षिण तीर पाहिला—जिथे लंकेची नगरी आहे।
