सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
इति शोकसमाविष्टश्चिन्तामहमुपागतः।।।।अथाहं वाचमश्रौषं चारणानां शुभाक्षराम्।जानकी न च दग्धेति विस्मयोदन्तभाषिणाम्।।।।
iti śoka-samāviṣṭaś cintām aham upāgataḥ |
athāhaṃ vācam aśrauṣaṃ cāraṇānāṃ śubhākṣarām |
jānakī na ca dagdheti vismayodanta-bhāṣiṇām ||
असे म्हणत शोकाने व्याकुळ होऊन मी चिंतेत पडलो। तेव्हा चारणांची शुभ वाणी माझ्या कानावर आली—विस्मयकारक वार्ता सांगणारी: “जानकी दग्ध झालेली नाही।”
"Thus I was overtaken by sorrow and worry. Just then I heard the wonderful propitious utterances of charanas announcing that Sita was not burnt.
Dharma is aligned with Satya: despair is corrected by truthful, auspicious testimony; right action is sustained when truth is reaffirmed.
Hanuman, fearing he has harmed Sita, hears celestial bards (Cāraṇas) proclaim that Sita is unharmed.
Śraddhā (trust) balanced with reflection: he receives reassurance that restores his moral clarity and confidence.
