ततो मलिनसंवीतां राक्षसीभिस्समावृताम्।।।।उपवासकृशां दीनां निश्श्वसन्तीं पुनः पुनः।ददर्श शुक्लपक्षादौ चन्द्ररेखामिवामलाम्।।।।

Transliteration

tato malinasaṃvītāṃ rākṣasībhiḥ samāvṛtām |

upavāsakṛśāṃ dīnāṃ niśśvasantīṃ punaḥ punaḥ |

dadarśa śuklapakṣādau candrarekhām ivāmalām || 5.15.19 ||

Translation

मग त्याने तिला पाहिले—मळकट वस्त्रांनी आच्छादित, राक्षसींनी वेढलेली; उपवासाने कृश, दीन, पुन्हा पुन्हा निःश्वास टाकणारी—शुक्लपक्षाच्या आरंभीच्या निर्मळ चंद्ररेषेसारखी फिकी।
